First 24–48 Hours

After your brow laser removal, the first two days are crucial for healing. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Keep the area clean & dry: Avoid water, makeup, or skincare products on your brows. This helps prevent infection.

  • No touching or scratching: Your skin will be sensitive. Let it heal naturally without interference.

  • Cool compress if needed: If you experience redness or swelling, apply a clean, cold compress (but avoid ice directly on the skin).

  • Avoid sun & heat: Stay away from direct sunlight, saunas, hot showers, and sweaty exercise. Your skin needs to recover.

Ongoing Care (First 7–10 Days)

As you continue to heal, here are some important steps to follow:

  • Moisturize gently: If you notice dryness, apply a thin layer of recommended healing ointment, such as Aquaphor or aloe gel.

  • No makeup on brows: This is vital to prevent infection and irritation during the healing process.

  • Avoid picking scabs: Let any flakes or light scabbing fall off naturally. Picking can lead to scarring.

  • Stay out of pools & spas: Chlorine and bacteria can delay your healing.

Sun Protection

Once your brows are healed, always apply SPF 30+ before sun exposure. UV rays can cause pigment changes or slow fading. Protecting your skin is essential for maintaining your results.

Healing Expectations

Understanding what to expect during the healing process can help you feel more at ease:

  • Redness & swelling: It’s normal to experience some redness and swelling for 1–3 days after the procedure.

  • Scabbing/peeling: This may occur around days 3–7. Don’t worry; it’s part of the healing process.

  • Lightening process: The pigment will fade gradually over a few weeks. Multiple sessions are usually needed to achieve your desired look.

What to Avoid Until Fully Healed

To ensure a smooth recovery, avoid the following until your skin is fully healed:

  • Facial treatments: This includes peels, scrubs, microneedling, and waxing.

  • Harsh skincare: Stay away from retinol, glycolic acid, or any harsh products on or around your brows.

  • Tanning beds: Prolonged sun exposure can harm your healing skin.

Additional Tips for a Smooth Recovery

Tip for Clients: Healing is different for everyone. Always follow your technician’s instructions closely. If you notice unusual pain, pus, or excessive swelling, don’t hesitate to contact them.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a successful healing process after your brow laser removal. Remember, taking care of your skin is a vital part of achieving the best results. Enjoy your journey to beautifully shaped brows!
